General Rules

Since it's a better idea to let everybody know what the rules are before they break them, we've decided to provide you with some general rules here. These are rules, not guidelines, and so breaking these will consequently reward you with moderator action seen fit.

What isn't allowed:

Advertising: We don't care how fabulous your website is, we don't want to know about free Russian mail-order brides. This site is for discussion (for the most part) of the contents on it. Even so, we do not allow advertising of your topic from Area 52 over in Factions [OOC]. A blatant ad will result in moderation.
Now, this isn't to say that we do not allow linking to other sites. We very much encourage you to give details about your discussion through things such as pictures, videos, etc.

Tl;dr: Link at your own risk, and don't spam up our forums with your advertisements.

Flaming: Don't be a dick. A logical argument is one thing, but calling somebody out, excessively swearing at them, threats, etc etc, will not be tolerated. Stay on topic, and if you have a beef with a player, suck it up, block them, or report it in moderation. It has no place on the rest of the forums.

Flamebaiting: Likewise, don't post to attract flaming comments or trolls. We have a forum for trolling, and so keep it out of the rest of the forums. Posts that are trying to make people angry are flamebaiting, and will be treated the same as flaming directly.

Necroing or Gravedigging: Threads that have been declared 'dead' (inactive for a while) should be given the right to stay that way. Replying to or bumping any 'dead' thread will result in moderator action against anybody who commits the action. The first necro reply and after will all be warned, so choose your posts wisely.

Griefing or Harassing: Deciding to harass somebody by following them around, topic after topic, and being an annoyance to them and the rest of the community will be met with moderator action. We don't appreciate assholes, so don't be one.

Spamming: Posting useless or off topic things, an excess of things, or just things that don't belong where they reside will be counted as spam. Moderator action will be taken against people who spam, so be warned.

Being Moronic: If you're going to be a moron, then at least be a sensical moron. If you know you're not going to win something, at least put some effort in saying Why you are going to do it anyway, and what the repercussions of that decision are.

Try to follow these rules, and everybody will have a good time. We don't like moderating people, but if we have to it will be done.
