Republics of the UPR Qaenrough


The UPRQ is comprised of thirteen different republics of Dux Galactus:

Brief History

    Each Republic of the United People's Republics of Qaenrough has their own local governments as far down as city mayors, but they will all answer to the Federal District, and even above that the People's Republic of Qaenrough. This is due to the Super Nova which (as mentioned before) severely damaged the Galaxy. The People's Republic of Qaenrough, oddly, was one of the few empires unaffected by the catastrophe and reached out to the other 12 empires of the region to aid in their rebuilding. The economies were wild with people unwilling to work with the Qaen, or any of the other empires, and often went on strike. This was quickly solved when the thirteen Representatives met on one of Qaenrough's most outer planets and discussed a merger, in secret. After about a month of negotiation the United People's Republics of Qaenrough was founded, converting all the empires to communist republics, all answering to the Qaen Overlord.
    The Qaen issued a Space Navy, Peacekeepers, and citizens to the other Twelve. Qaenrough also assigned different portions of the UPRQ different specialties based on their relative location in the empire. The United People's Republics of Qaenrough became vastly successful compared to it's neighbors, expanding rapidly through the galaxy, only stopping when the vote was passed to leave most of the galaxy to research purposes for  Sa, Halru, Qro, and Senvaagh. Naturally Lorii and Korii are some of the larger empires in the UPR Qaenrough because every empire loves food.

Distribution of Power

    The Republic of Ji has a colony in Vahxuli Galactus for mining purposes, though the border limits of the UPRQ don't yet pass beyond that front tier. Colonies of the UPR Qaenrough still count as national territory, as in all militaristic and developing rights are fully owned by the Federal District. Power in the UPRQ territory divides simple enough. It goes in order of Second Class Colonial, First Class Colonial, Fifth Authority, Fourth Authority, Third Authority, Second Authority [Federal District], and Top Authority [Federal District].

Attitude

     It's safe to say the Qaen attitude is not favoured by many other cultures and empires. They often come off as arrogant, overconfident, overzealous, ignorant, and unpleasant to live amongst. This, however, is taken by the Qaen with a grain of salt, for if there is one thing the soldiers who serve the UPRQ are taught, it is loyalty. Qaen Peacekeepers aren't easily convinced otherwise of their superiors' teachings, nor are they interested. Peacekeepers are all trained to memorise their surroundings as they see them, and are trained to do so with their Code of Conduct, which is easily a few thousand word document. And Qaenshta words can get quite large.
     The United People's Republics of Qaenrough does not have a set attitude toward Xenos. Generally, if you don't attack Qaenrough, Qaenrough won't attack you. They prefer it when aliens follow the Federal District's suggestions, including proceeding to Input Bays, avoiding certain planets, and not snooping into some Qaen science projects. Those will be discussed in a later coverage. The UPR Qaenrough prefers to imitate the attitudes aliens send them and send them back. For example if you were to brush off a Qaen warnings and suggestions, the UPRQ would brush off your suggestions as well. If you were to take everything they offered into consideration, they would to you as well. This is how they pick empires to befriend and empires to keep a distance from.
     Something Qaen Peacekeepers love to do is quote. Whether it's their own captains, the Code of Conduct, or the Great Codex of Qaea, if the quote as a meaning that qualifies to the situation they will more likely than not use it. Some of the most popular include "Intimidation is for one who believes they cannot handle what's before them," "Finish what has begun, or leave it to be undone," and "Soldiers go to war to return. Peacekeepers go to war so enemy doesn't." Oddly enough this also comes off as arrogant.

QUALIA <Decommissioned>
     QUALIA is what's in charge of running the UPR Qaenrough while stasis is active, and holds power for an estimated 12% of the time. It's main systems are located on the ring system of a gas giant in the Calamity system within the Republic of Shraa in the Federal District.
     QUALIA is mostly a calm and collected female voice which doesn't like getting into combat, but will not hold back once it has began. For more information on QUALIA please click here.

Qaen War Timeline:*
120 BSN [Before Super Nova] The Qaen-Furosuto Wars. These began when the Furosuto Empire and the People's Republic of Qaenrough shared claim on a system. Furosuto began industrialising the planet as Qaenrough had intended to use it as a population centre. On the planet surface Qaen ships began demolishing Furosutan factories. Furosuto responded by bombarding Qaenrough. Qaenrough lost in the end.
118 BSN The First Great Rebellion. After the Qaen-Furosuto Wars Qaenrough became a vassal of Furosuto and over the decades had slowly been absorbed by the Furosutan administration. However in 118 BSN, the First Great Rebellion began and liberated Qaenrough from Furosuto.
115 BSN The Frache Invasion. After the People's Republic of Qaenrough had nearly finished recovering from the enormous revolution the region is invaded by the Frache Federation. The Frache sweep through the area and plunder all of the regional empires, but holding rightly on Qaenrough for its central position. The Frache Federation enslaved the Qaen and took more than 60% of the population of Qaenrough off world and relocated them to work as slaves in the core worlds of the Frache Federation. It was some time before Qaenrough fought back.
90 BSN The Second Great Rebellion. During Frache occupation of the region the empires of Qaenrough and Shraa had been sharing funds and resources to create a fleet, hidden from the Frache. The fleets consisted of new shield technology and utalising energy weapons whereas the Frache shields were build for use against uranium weaponry. In 90 BSN Qaenrough and Shraa launched their fleets, named the Liberation of Life, spiraling across the neighboring eleven empires held by the Frache Federation. The Liberation of Life was stopped in the Republic of Ji.
1 ASN [After Super Nova] The Anti Qaen Movements. After the surprise super nova of a collapsing star took place in the Dead Zone, the region was crippled. The People's Republic of Qaenrough began reaching out to the other republics of the region to aid, but many movements began, especially in Furosuto, against Qaen aid. These were ended however when Qaen Peacekeepers showed up and started executing rioters.
42 ASN The Purification of Prime. The United People's Republics of Qaenrough declares war on the Kardon Empire and Destroyers. This war still in progress.

*Please note that every ASN Unit is equal to ten years. Because a Qaen year is equivalent 496 Earth days, which means by Earth time standards the UPRQ is roughly 310 years old.

Qaen Food

    Rather than blend all sorts of little flavours and spices, Qaen food is very simple. Mostly it consists of fruit and proteins, as well as an ever growing market for sympathetic foods. Qaen used to make more complicated dishes compared to now before the Qaen-Furosuto Wars, but it was found more practical to ship simple ingredients rather than meals. The Peacekeepers stopped preparing meals and started only eating the ingredients and over time the citizens followed. A more versatile pallet can be found in some outer Republics however like Ji or Lorii, due to their distance from The People's Republic of Qaenrough.

The Kelenw

     The Kelenw is the Qaen currency that has been in effect since very, very early in Qaen history. Since the Unification the UPRQ has had major inflation in the Kelenw, whereas about W3000 is equal to $1. This causes, of course, an inevitable ecological collapse. There are conspiracy theories that QUALIA set it up to rule over the empire, though this scenario is unlikely due to QUALIA's programmed selfless nature.
