Port thrusters on the Qaen battleships turn them toward the nearest UPRQ space. A purple lightning spreads across them like a Tesla coil and they slingshot into oblivion.

The remnants of the fleet tear into subspace, a sad sight now with only around 40 ships.
The Sonic Rainboom and many of the other ships would never make it to their destination, instead being thrown out of subspace and rendered derelict, or even shredded into subatomic mist.

The Qaen ships are unaware as sensors are impaired during jumps, and they continue to the Republic of Shraa for repairs.
